Mandate
The Bay Street Hoops charity basketball tournament is about two things: basketball and community. One of Toronto’s largest sports charity events, it is built on a foundation of participation and community spirit. It is about having fun and supporting deserving children and youth charities in Toronto.
Since 1995, over $1,600,000 has been raised for children and youth charities in the Toronto area, including more than $200,000 in 2008.
The typical Bay Street Hoops participant is a lawyer, accountant or financial services professional who loves playing basketball and, more importantly, wants to use his or her position in the community to help those who are less fortunate.
